1 Day Namugongo Shrines and Bahai Temple

Namugongo is home to both the shrines of the Catholics and Protestants. Both places showcase the remains of the martyrs who were killed by Kabaka Mwanga after refusing to go by his orders.

The tour starts in the morning with a ride to the Bahai temple, the only religious structure of the Bahai faith in Africa. Located at the top of kikaaya hill, this building differs itself unique with engaging architectural designs and the surrounding serene gardens.

Another interesting thing is that once you enter inside this building you are not allowed to talk until you move out. After Bahai, continue to the Uganda martyrs shrines.

Adding to pretty gardens, waterways and structures, these places delights visitors with incredible exhibits of photos, monuments and other remains. From Namugongo, the driver will drop you at your residential place or airport.
